Schuberth SF3 ABP is the top of the range for motor racing. Schuberth opens new horizons for four-wheel racing, with one of the lightest racing helmets in the world, with a new design and improved ventilation.
THE HELMET Extremely robust helmet shell made of hybrid carbon and aramid fabric according to aeronautical specifications. The shell made of carbon-based composite materials has been completely transformed, ensuring less air penetration. Despite the hardness of the shell, it is able to remain flexible and absorb and distribute large impact forces. Safe protection that professional, semi-professional or ambitious pilots can rely on.
WEIGHT In major motor vehicle sports, every hundredth of a second and every gram makes the difference. The new SF3 ABP loads the neck muscles through a structure with an even lighter weight than that of the very light SF1. Thanks to the development of the new SF3 ABP, Schuberth consolidates its decades of experience in the Formula 1 sector. The weight of the helmet is 1.420 g +/- 30 g
VENTILATION 12 air inlets and 6 exhausts allow for optimal circulation. The result: flow rate of 14 liters of air per second at 100 km/h. In addition to the additional inlets, the airflow inside the helmet has also been optimized thanks to the thin cheek pads. In this way, a certain freshness for the head is constantly guaranteed.
AERODYNAMICS The internal and external design of the helmet shell was developed following extensive testing in wind tunnels to an ideal aerodynamic standard. Result: SF3 ABP generates no propulsion and presents a balanced aerodynamic balance thanks to meticulous attention to detail. Riders can optimize their SF3 ABP as they wish with an aerodynamic kit equipped with carbon appendages.
VISOR The three-millimeter visor is made of robust impact-resistant polycarbonate in accordance with FIA helmet directives. Thanks to the double lens system, the visor is completely anti-fog. The two-level one-way lock is centrally positioned so that the visor always closes symmetrically and safely. Different shades and mirrors of additional visors are available.
INTERIORS The internal shell is made completely from scratch. Thinner cheek pads allow for application. They can be replaced and individually adapted to different head shapes. Likewise, the new internal lining more effectively isolates riders from engine noise. The channels integrated into the EPS shell for radio communication with the boxes are new. The Schuberth inner lining is made of fire-retardant Nomex material, and the double-D closure provided for the chin stroke is made of fire-retardant Kevlar. Optional possibility to choose the desired color for the interior fabric.
YOUR PERSONAL SF3 ABP: Each SF3 ABP is handcrafted with artisanal care. For the most demanding pilots it is also possible to create the helmet based on personalized indications and following the customer's requests. Thanks to the numerous other accessories available in the catalogue, sold separately, it is possible to configure the new SF3 ABP Schuberth according to the different needs related to sports such as formula, prototypes, GT, touring, karting, and rallies.
