As the official agent of Schubert and Bell, of course, I use both helmets. In fact, every time I talk to a new agent, I first use their products to ensure that the brand's design and functionality meet the high standards required for professional drivers.
1. Lining: Bell's lining doesn't need to be discussed at all. I don't think any brand on the market can shake Bell's title in mobile sofas, especially the lining material of FIA helmets, which is currently the softest and most comfortable on the market. And the Schubert lining design has narrower and more clamped cheeks than Bell's. With the rapid depletion of physical energy in the second half of the game, a lot of oxygen is needed to breathe through the mouth, and the cheeks will be a bit tired from being clamped. Of course, I only used Schubert for one weekend, so it is completely acceptable to adjust or change the thickness of the cheek lining later on2. Ventilation and Airflow Design: Currently, Schubert is the helmet with the highest ventilation efficiency I have ever worn. It can be seen that I only selected 6 air guide kits, and for the continuity and beauty of the spray design, I chose a front mouth air deflector cover, which largely prevents airflow from entering the helmet. However, when I opened the KZ, I felt that the airflow was continuously delivered from the front mouth, especially the airflow above my head, which can be described as exaggerated. It can be said that there is an air gun blowing continuously on my head, which plays a crucial role in cooling body temperature. If the air deflector cover is removed and a forced air inlet cover on my head is used, the air inlet effect can be said to increase exponentially. However, using Bell to drive the same type of car can only be described as having an air gun blowing continuously on my head. I feel a cool breeze blowing overhead while driving on the highway.Like other helmets, for open cockpit racing cars, I install front mouth and tail wing kits to ensure that the helmet does not flutter due to airflow at high speeds. Schubert did not disappoint me, and after installing these kits, the helmet still did not sway at the end of the KZ straight at 140KM/H on the Macau kart track due to the influence of airflow. This stability cannot be compared even with Bell's installation of the turbulence kit3. Weight: Compared to Bell and most other certified helmets, Schubert has an absolute advantage in SK1 and SF4 helmets. The following data comes from official catalogs or actual testingThe official weight of SK1 small shell is 1090G, while the KC7 carbon small shell is 1095GThe shell of SF4 is 1260G (54-59 yards), and HP7 is 1320 G (59 yards standard)The weight of SP1 is 1360G, and the Bell RS7 Carbon is 1370G (all test sizes in the following figure are 57)
Of course, regardless of the brand, the weight may vary due to errors in the production process (approximately ± 3%) and changes in size.4. Lens color and usage effect: Schubert colored lenses have relatively few color options, only blue, red, mercury, and black. But each color is divided into three shades: transparent, light, and dark. In addition, for red and blue, the transparent lens shell uses HC (high contrast) technology lenses, which can effectively restore the true color. Bell, on the other hand, offers a wide range of color options, but its color reproduction is slightly inferior. You can see the comparison photos below, which show Bell ML Green/Schubert SP1 helmet mounted transparent red lenses/Schubert HC technology light blue lenses from top to bottom. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that Schubert's TEAR OFF system is designed to be very convenient, with perfect fit when directly attached. However, other helmets require loosening the TEAR OFF buckle screws on the inside of the lenses, organizing the protective film layer by layer, and tightening the screws to achieve a better fit. Both lenses are equipped with anti fog systems.
